light bulb!!!!!
ok so im getin ready to doa mpfi swap on 88 rex with plans on a zc dohc not long after and i was thinking........why the hell would i want to go get the si ecu then go back and buy a zc ecu when i could just go and buy the zc ecu right now and avoid all the hassle and have more fun with that 7 G redline and at the same time only buyin one ecu............so what im askin is will this work with a mpfi swap just like normal cept for fuel curve and higher redline?? many thanks in advance
P.S. the ZC ecu is from tegs 88-9.......1? and is a pm7 for a manual ....correct?
And also wont my 88 DX tranny work with the DOHC ZC?
thanks again!

Why would you spend money on a MPFI swap then just go and buy a ZC?
Anyways, I'm not sure about the ECU question, although I hear the PM6 and PM7 are alot alike (ZC will run fine on a PM6). The PM7 is from a car with a ZC, not an integra. I think the ingegra is a PG7, but thats just a guess. For the transmission your going to have to use the smaller 88 flywheel and clutch on the ZC, its got one differnt spline than the 89-91 ones.

the pg6 ecu is from the 88-89 integra, which houses the d16a1 engine. Further models utilize the b18. The pm7 comes from the 88-91 JDM civic/crx SI. I personally have the pm6 (as hmotors was backordered 2 months on the pm7) but have tried the pm7 on my car and it loves the 7 more but will run just fine with the 6. There is a noticeable difference in power delivery however. The engine even sounds alot different with the pm7.
I would personally go and buy some shitty cheap MPFI manifold just to get the car running first under MPFI before an engine swap. Even though not much can go wrong under a ZC swap, it would be good to know that if something did, it wouldn't be the MPFI wiring you just installed.

Due to the fact taht I had a 70 HP d15b8 in there before, with the civic STD 4spd tranny, the feeling was nothing short of having an orgasm the first time I gave it gas. I have no idea how the 2 previosly mentioned components found their way into a civic SI, but with close to double the horsepower now the car is pretty fast. With my new clutch my 0-60 is around 7-8 seconds last time I tried. The high end torque is incredible.
The diagram came from someone on http://www.thezcr.com. I have no idea where he got it from.
