Default Cooling Fan Problems - Please help!

I am having terrible problems with my cooling fan for a 94 Honda Civic LX 1.5 L sedan.

Basically, I have never heard or seen my fan on before. I have tested the fan and it works fine. I have also checked the fan relay and replaced it but this seems to work fine too.

There is a temperature switch that is connected near the thermostat and I have tested this switch and this seems to be working fine. I think that the problem is in the wiring but I am not sure.

This temperature switch will turn on when the engine is above 200 degrees. so with the engine running, I have disconnected the terminal to this switch and took a wire to the connector to complete this circuit so that the fan will turn on. When I connect this wire to the connector to make a complete circuit, the fan relay makes a clicking noise which I assume means that it is trying to turn the fan on. But there is no response from the fan.

Is there something that I am missing? Could someone please help me with this?
