helmet - does it have a chin pad?
i got an hjc ac10 helmet but i think it's missing a part. where the front vents are, on the inside there is no pad, just a velcro strip. when i'm on the freeway, air gets in the helmet.
can someone post a pic of their helmet, looking through it from the bottom. is the chin pad replaceable?

The velcro is probably there so you could buy and use a breath guard. Fits over your nose/cheeks and prevents your breath from blowing up onto the visor and fogging it.
My old hjc cl12 had the velcro piece in it, I bought it new and it was not missing any pieces. The new hjc helmet I bought for passengers does not have it.
I used the velcro for my chatterbox mic.
On a side note the chin curtain and breath guard should not velcro in. I know the ones for my shoei tuck in between the helmet and the inside padding.

Being that HJC makes both the helmets and the chatterboxes, they designed their helmets with the chatterbox in mind. Thats why the ear areas have little pockets for the speakers. The velcro area on the chin is for the mic, but I assume that it can be used for a breath deflector too. I don't like the placement of the velcro for the mic. I ended up using the adhesive velcro strip included with the chatterbox for a more ideal placement.
figured out that it wasn't missing any pieces, i went ahead and ordered a chin curtain for it. any of u guys using a chin curtain for your helmets?

No, but I'd like to, because for some reason every time I turn around making a head-check on the highway or whatnot, a freaking large bug always seems to manage to fly right up into my helmet and start walking around on the visor.
