Question on Crane Cams
have an EG hatch with a JDM B20 and I just put in Crane cams and I don't know if there is any break in period. When I first started the car I let it idle for about 15 mins at 1500 RPMs and put about 4 city miles and 25 highway miles on it. I am not sure if that is enough to start beating on it cause I wanna go to the track soon. Stage 1 in anyone ask.
Thanks in advance

there are some people who say there is no brake in for new cams just let it idle at around 2000rpm for 15-20min or so and your set.
i don't believe that. i think you should at least put 100 miles on them without pushing the revs that much. slowly bring the rpms up higher and higher. then after your 100 or so miles give it a quick oil change and re-check the valve lash and you should be good to go.
never had a problem braking in new cams like that.

Do you think it matters weather the miles are city or highway. So far I put like 30. I have hit it just alittle just to see if I felt any power increase but I didn't drive it at all today cause my car is too low and my headers scrape on almost anything.

well, the motor cant tell where you're driving, all it see's is RPM.
