FYI: 6 piston kit now available
Just to let you guys know, I have finished the custom 6 piston kit for the ITR and can make them up for anyone now. Here's what it includes:
6 piston Wilwood calipers
12.2" rotors with Aluminum hats
adapter kit
braided front lines
This does require at least a 16" and maybe a 17" rim.
(EDIT) Also available is the 11.75" rotor and 4 piston caliper kit for the stock 15" wheels...H-T discount price of $750

what other upgrades would one need to run that setup properly, ss break Lines, differant fluid.
also is stoping distance that much improved for the street or is it really only for track use?

stock is 1-piston floating caliper where the piston is on one side, but the caliper assembly is allowed to slide so that each side exerts pressure on their respective pad, but it's still technically 1-piston...just doing the work of 2.

Ah...semantics
My stock Type R caliper, let's see, I look at it every day. There is one piston. It is in the inner side of the rotor. What you see in the outer part is just the pad!
in terms of the Spoons..they are wayyy lighter then the stock ITR calipers. I felt the difference big time in acceleration and in handling.
Its probably the same for other kits such as fastbrakes, etc.
in the case of the Spoons, they just completely bolted on using all stock hardware. However, I did change the pads and break lines just cuz the brakes were being done.

How could you possible feel a difference in acceleration from lighter calipers?

I seriously doubt you'll feel a difference with just the unsprung weight difference. No rotating mass in the caliper.
