Hey I recently got a 98 Civic LX 4door. The car had sat for 2 months and needed to be jumped to start. Then the engine light came on and it would sputter at the start up. Put gas cleaner in and it fixed it. Mechanic friend said mabey the idle or throttle valve was sticking and probly no big deal so he turned the engine light off and said come back if it came back on. 3 days later i notice when the AC cylces i gain alot more power and the engine seems to be not gettin enough rmps when the AC cycles. And the Engine light came on and i belive it was a (505)? error code. Car is still running well. Then last night i am driving around and getting 1000 rmps on idle with ac on , and 1800 idle with ac off. ? Then after that I'm driving home in 3rd gear and i cant pace a car and stay at a speed its either acceleration or no gas and i slow. As soon as i put i micron of pressure back on the gass it jumps and starts to accelerate again. in 4th if i let off the gas it would jump real bad like it wasn;t gettting gas.


Any help would be apreciated.

it's probably an electrical problem... check your grounds and EACV
