Default How do I supercharge my Prelude?

To any one out, there I need help in supercharging my Prelude. I'm new to the tuning world and I don't know jack about it. I just upgraded from an old CRAPPY Corolla and got a 2000 Prelude. Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I just don't know where to begin.

you need to read as much as you can about superchargers. then, you go out and buy one. then, you get it installed. then you get your car tuned.

just do some searching u can get alot of ur questions answered without having to wait for replys or flames from ppl tellin u to search first

and as for ur question, Jackson racing makes a kit thats pretty reliable, if ur planning on having a beast pushing more than 250whp u have to go turbo... i have yet to see a jrsc on a lude push more than 230whp but thats just me

go turbo instead. turbos are the ideal bolt on for four cylinder engines. superchargers work well on v6.

vortech makes a supercharger for the 5th gen lude, I'm sure it would yield a little more hp than the jackson racing supercharger.

Plenty of people have made 250-260 whp on the lude kit by upping the boost. I know of one guy that has a built motor and endyn worked blower, he is running 12 psi and making about 300 whp.

you dont quite sound ready for a supercharger, or any forced induction for that matter....Id reccomend sticking aroun the forums and reading as much as you can about superchargers, hell just basic information about your engine for that matter.

When the time is right and you think you have the experience and info go ahead and buy a kit and get it properly installed and tuned.

OO and whatever ever "shark" says about superchargers, listen to him because he knows what hes talking about.

That's true, but it really comes down to what your goal is.

The JRSC was a great idea, but what has driven me nuts about it is that no one seems willing to build an aftercooler solution for it.

you forgot the part about selling the FMU on e-bay and getting some real engine management.
