hmmm. thats why he was getting VTEC error codes...on a non vtec car! go figure. this ECU came from a junkyard and i don't know if it's from an automatic or manual. is there a way to tell by visual inpection?

so this ECU will work w/ D16Z6?

The ecu will work on a lot of engines. We just used one in a civic with a b18c engine.

Yeah, but it only has to be chipped because of the redline. Although we did need a new vtec solenoid, cause the stock b18c only has 1 sensor on the vtec solenoid, the p28 looks for 2.

Your ECU is automatic. A52=auto.

yes it is. if you dont have it hooked up to an auto car, you will get an auto trans lockup solenoid error code all the time.. but i dont think that is enough to put you in limp mode. but you or people who chip them can probably convert them to a manual ecu so you dont have that error all the time.
