So not only does Rota copy wheels but they also copy finish styles!
All they need to do is make forged multi peiced wheels

I don't have a problem with poor people. **** I'm pretty much poor. Just a waste of time if you're going to half *** anything you do to your car.
Might as well go buy your girl a 25 cent rotating gumball machine ring.

True..but if you don't have that kind of money, and it looks practically the same, why not get the better deal? You would probably buy them, end up being broke, needing cash, but still wanting that same look of your car..so you'd end up selling them and buying Rota's. A good alternative.

How do they copy finishes?? There are not many options out there when it comes to finish styles. All companies offer a variety of finishes whether they are so called original or copies.

The way I see it is, do it "right" or just don't do it at all.
And even with the replicas, most of them are ugly compared to real stuff such as JDMSH!T lips. They look like ***.

I'm not telling anyone NOT to get Rotas. I'm not telling people to do anything.
Just don't expect "respect" with nothing but short cuts taken on a car.

You're a ******* tool and your analogy lacks enough correlation to be valid to any important degree. You don't get your girl a $0.25 gumball machine ring (1/6000th the cost of an untaxed, $1500 ring - which from the people I know is a low estimate for an engagement band) because your ring represents the entirety of your intended commitment to her.

You buy Rotas for your car because for 1/4th the price of a set of Spoons or RAYS or Mugens you get nearly the same weight savings, a look that very few people outside this message board can recognize as different from the "real deal" and because the money you save in not buying overpriced "JDM" **** allows you to get good tires and an alignment right away rather than having to wait for three more paychecks to outfit your car in its new eye candy.

Half assing would be buying and equipping one Spoon rim at a time so you could be the "real deal" you elitist *****. If you don't like Rotas, don't buy them, and with the money I save on flat black, overpriced rims, my car will be the one smoking the unholy **** out of yours in any performance venture I decide to undertake.

/thread.

How is buying rota's the "wrong" thing to do? I can understand how taking shortcuts on suspension, engine, brakes, etc. the wrong thing to do, and how that could make a difference...but rims are an appearance mod. It's not going to make any big difference whether or not you buy the real thing or the replicas. It's not going to make your car ride bouncy, or make your car unreliable.
