Default Idle going up and down?

When car is out of gear ( Auto ) the idle surges between 600-1700 rpm. Also engine studders slightly between 1200-1800 rpm.

92 Accord EX AT 130,000 miles. All maintanance done.

Ant help would be great.

idle control valve, vaccum leak are the two top issues

Have you cleaned the Throttle Body and Idle Air Control Valve of late? That's (those) the item(s) which controls idle / idle up speeds; we have to determine if it's (they) are just dirty, or if something else is effecting them.

Where's the best place to find parts?
I want quality parts not junk.

You can use any commercially available carburetor cleaner for your cleaning purposes. (and it makes a great vacume leak detector as YeuEmMaiMai suggested (spray a light mist of carb cleaner near a vacume leak, and the rpms will rise.))

You won't need a Throttlebody (unless the butterfly shaft is worn in the bore and causes binding).
The Idle Air Control Valve I haven't seen aftermarket (perhaps someone else has run into one), But I'd go the OEM Honda IF you need one.

I use these folks:

a loose inner valve in the fast idle valve will cause the same problem because it would create a vaccum leak, remove the top cover of fast idle valve 2 phillip screws, there is a black plastic valve inside with notches, use a screwdriver and see if u can tighten up the valve , do not overtighten it ,do it till it bottoms out
