Gas Grade-Compression ratio?
At what compression ratio do you need to use above 87 octane gas?
My 2000 CRV has 9.6:1 compression ratio.
My wifes been putting 87 octane in and it feels a bit sluggish IMO.I dont know if its just the heat or what?

look in your owners manual for the recommended gas grade for that crv.
if the car feels sluggish its not because she used regular gas......there may be something else wrong..

My 2005 Odyssey has a 10:1 CR and runs great on 87 octane. My GSR also has a 10:1 CR runs horribly on 89 octane. It's all about the engine design and the computer management. Trust the owners manual.
