Default Skunk2 im-no spacer-fuel rail hot?

With the Skunk2 intake manifold you can't use the plastic spacers to keep heat off of the fuel rail. So with the skunk2 manifold on after the motor is warmed up and you have done a couple of runs the fuel rail is as hot(120-160 degrees) as the manifold!

Does anyone know if this is a problem? Should I have the mounting surfaces on the manifold milled down to be able to put the spacers on?

If so skunk2 manifolds need improvement not only there but you have to mount the evap sensor your self

Well any help will be appreciated

b16a head by the way

Right there where it says modification, tuning jackass!

now what!

Why do people have to always try to say something smart when they dont know whats going on? But if this is the wrong place can a moderator put it in its right place and leave tuning and modification out of the topic.

boo hoo.

if you cant figure this simple ******* thing out, like maybe modify the plastic spacers or put your damn 'tech' article in the right space..... then maybe you do need to search the internet for a ******* simple solution, that your little sister could figure out if she just looked at your motor.

BTW.... TECH, engine theory, tuning and modification sounds like a better place to me.

next time you try to get brave in PMs make sure youre in the same city. dont get smart jerkoff.

Its a 1/2" spacer what do i shave it to 1/32" then what is the purpose that wont block no heat.

What i want to know anyway is does that much heat (120-160 degrees) mess with the fuel at all if it does i know what i need to do to take care of it!

stop shouting.

if you have a problem with your fuel getting to warm, run a 'cold can'

basically fuel lines ran through a box of dry ice.

You could solve this problem by running a plastic or synthetic intake manifold gaskets. There are a few different companies making them and they are very effective. Stop the heat where it begins, between the head and the intake manifold.

yeah thanks but i got it all taken care of just did what i planned on.
i have that heat-shield gasket and all the heat thats in the coolant lines heat up the manifold anyway so unless you reroute or disconnect them that gasket dont help.

then why in the hell did you make this thread? do like everyone else has done dis connect the water lines going to the throttle body or run the line thru some kind of cooling system.you ask for help then you turn the help that is offered away? which is plain stupid.

Use [] instead of {}, {QUOTE=Type whatever you want here} will get you this:
