Default Heat + Rubber= bad

So I have a little situation here and would like some input(ideas) on how to solve the problem. The alternator wire is touching the turbine section and well it will melt real fast if I dont do something. I thought about wraping it(the wire) in heat wrap. If anyone has this kit and has come up with a solution, please share.

remove the wire from coming over the valve cover. Move the wire to come around the powersteering pump.

^that does nothing.

You are asking to cook your turbo's oil seals huh.

It needs to drain perpendicular to the ground and not at an angle. You are really asking for problems.

As far as your alt goes, make a heat shield and use heat insulation wrap.

You could also heat wrap your downpipe or have it coated to help keep heat from being dissipated into the engine bay.

Jet Hot Gray coating will help - Suggest fabing a short extention tube between the header and turbo to move the heat away from the alt wire. The heat shield would be the easiest though.

Yep, I plan on heat wraping the down pipe. Time is unfortunaley running out on this season. So many bugs, so little time.

<<Someone please do something about this noob BS. Thanks.

I agree, that's the first thing you should do. Rotate the center section so the oil is going straight (or as close to it as possible) to the ground. It works of gravity.

And I agree with the second thing as well. Make a heat shield and put it right in between the two. You can also (along side with the heat shield) either wrap the downpipe with header wrap, wrap the plug cover with reflective wrap or both.
