Default Huge problem during 5-Lug Conversion...Unable to remove this bolt.

I was following the instructions on how to do the conversion. Everything seems to be working great, but I finally got stumped on this two 14mm bolt. I spent over an hour trying to loosen these bolts. Is it even possible? Am I doin something wrong? or can it be that its just really rusted?

I am pointing at the 14mm bolt here... (This is the rear driver side)

Believe it or not? I Snapped the bolt so now its stuck. So i will have to bring it to a Shop to see if they can hammer it out or something.

I also have a question, what is this part that I circled in red called???

That would be your rear upper control arm. The bolt had probably seized inside the metal bushing sleeve, its a fairly common problem. If you experience it with other bolts, soak them in PB blaster/liquid wrench or some sort of penetrating oil to see if you can't break up some of that rust, and after they've soaked for a bit, apply some heat via a propane torch, thats what I used. Then its soak, heat, soak, heat, soak, heat, go at it with a breaker bar and steady force. I managed to free up 2 seized bolts that way. Then again, I snapped 2 bolts as well, hahahaha. Live and learn. During the re-install, use some anti-sieze on the very same bolts so you don't have this prob in the future.

yes its very common to have bolts that are very rusted and cant be loosened. spray them with something and use a breaker bar. if you have a friends that has air tools go talk to him...

drill out the seized bolt after you spray it with some pb blaster.

Alright guys thanks for your comments!! I finally took car of the problem... The Bolt that broke off is pretty much done. I took it to a shop and had them try to remove the bolt but they couldn't do it so I bought a new rear upper control arm. Now everything is looking much better... All I have to say is, do this 5 lug conversion was a b*tch!! I don't think I would do it again lol...
