Default on going oil consumtion NEW engine!!!

ok i have been having some oil consumption issues with my new engine setup its a b21a block JE pistons crower rods REV valves and springs .5mm oversized and i have new exhuast valve guides installed

The engine smokes when started cold, not much at all but some and its blue smoke (oil) now when i drive it and get it nice and warmed up then come and shut it off and say leave it for 5-10 mins, then come back and start it again it will smoke a decent amount, smokes for about 6 seconds then goes away u dont have to rev it or anything just start the thing. The head has new valve stem seals in it and new rings etc..about 160 miles on this motor.

OK also i have removed the exhuast manifold and i can see oil in the exhuast ports and around the bottom of the valve guide but these seals were just replaced and this is the 2nd TIME i have replaced them i replaced them the first and a shop that only does cylinder head stuff did it the 2nd time, is there anything else it could be? perhaps leaking inbetween the head and guide? Its not turbo at the moment and everything is hooked up like stock..stock injectors ECU PCV etc..any input would be great im really fustrated with this..compression and leak down are good also..

valve stem seals. I know you replaced them but check again. You may have pinched one or broke one on the install. In theory piston rings dont hold oil in the head the valve stem seals do. If one is leaking itll leak into the head while there is no pressure in the head ie. while the car is sitting. Now the other problem you may have is a bad oil control ring. What may be happening is the oil is bypassing the ring and blowing out into the exhaust and upon start up it heats back up and burns away. Your basically burning oil.(You will see a lower level of oil on your dipstick when checking). If you have had the head checked twice id go with a bad ring. Oil control rings have nothing to do with compression so your compression will still be good. Hope this helps.

Yes this is an 90-91 prelude engine, i dunno i dont think its the oil control ring as my plugs dont show any signs at all.. the engine has been sleeved also so it dosent have FRM like it did before

Did you use OEM or aftermarket valve stem seals?

u made a comment.. not a suggestion

btw i think i have found the problem, the exhuast valve stem seals have popped off the guides and i think i know what caused it, the valve springs im using are from JG engine dynamics and the lower spring retainers only have 1 groove in them to guide the spring, it should have 2 grooves to guide both the springs,so i think the inner spring is sliding around and hittin the valve stem seal and causing it to come off...my only concern is why am i not having the same problem on the intake side??
