Default New Exhaust

I'm looking for a new exhaust for my prelude, but can't decide on one to get. I want one that is not obnoxious or tin can. I want a low grumble, not a bumblebee noise, and that gives good performance. Thanks

as much as I hate people who tell you to search, I just posted in a "what exhaust should I get" thread yesterday. They're on here man, there was just one on this page. Everyone asks for exactly the sound you're asking for, and everyone always gets these results:

Apexi World Sport 2 - Most likely what you want
RS-R - Very quiet, but very expensive
Thermal - Another good option like the World Sport

Those are your best bets, just research them.

I've seen pictures of the Apexi WS2, and it looks real nice to me. I just don't know what you get with it. Is it an axel back, or full cat back system?

you get the whole cat back - comes with the exhuast, resonator, and the s pipe.. the pipe is 2.25 i believe and i got it for 350 recently

or you can get the apexi ws2 just the muffler and do a custom piping

this is a nice low pitch sound exhaust, looks good, with okay gains, and very affordable.

rsr is just too expensive but is a great product indeed. but i just don't find it myself to pay that kinda dollar for just an exhaust

tanabe and greddy sp are okay too, but ws2 is the most quiet and cheaper..

******and yea i have to warn you - the resonator sits EXTREMELY LOW... so if your car is lowered more than 2".. i sugguest have it custom fabricated to sit higher and change the old rubber hangers

I had a a stock exhaust with a NAXOS muffler and it sounded exactly how I wanted it to. It didnt echo thru the neighbor hood but had that real nice low sound to it.
I then sought out a new exhaust for perfomance reasons and ended up just buting a greey style muffler and having a local shop custom bend me a cat back for abhout $100 to save money. I dont think everyone will benifit from having a full stainless exhaust, its nice and all but very expensive. I ws running a test pipe and no resonater and evertime I was in low or high rpm range something would rattle. I thought it was the tip of the muffler so I purchased the greddy evo catback.
When I went and installed it it was just a missing nut on the heat shild causing the rattleing but regardless I am happy with my purchase.
Point being a custom bent cat back with your choice of muffler will give you the results you want and save you $$$

hey man, in all honesty. Skunk2. Great gains, great sound (not ricey at all) it has a really low pitch to it, and it SCREAMS when you open it up. Only complaint i have would be the muffler but everyone has their own opinions. Invest in skunk2!!

T1R Power Exhaust system!!

I just got mine installed last week. Sounds real good. comes with 2.5inch pipe.
You approx gain 8~11 WHP.
Also blue burnt tip~ looks good too~
