Default 1982 Civic 1300, got a few questions...

1- are these 4sp or 5sp?
2- are they decently reliable if ok maintained?
3- are parts still available for them, and if so where?
4- are there any specific forums for/about them?
5 What would be the average going price on one of these?, not many listed in the classifieds

1) The 1982 Civic 1300 offered the 5spd manual. I believe they were also offered in a 2sp 'hondamatic' transmission.

2) At the time, they were known to be reliable cars with great gasmileage (45mpg I think)

3) Many parts are still listed for sale and available on Honda's e-store, which will process your order through a dealership near you.

4) No idea.

5) Also, no idea, but it better be cheap.

6) I like the new avatar.

Dude good luck...i almost bought the 1971 n600. but there's hardly any info on them. Not even to just restore. However....the 1300, can be searched for...I'd just try and google.com it and see if someone out there had the chance to fix and figure everything out for you already. But i know that parts are going to be on the $$$ side...unless you find one at the dump for really cheap and just trade everything. "Strip one to fix the other" you know? i'd give no more then 1000$ for a running, good shape 1300.

Bbasso,

I've got an '82 Civic 1500 S; it's in my avatar.

I'm currently getting ~50MPG in the bad boy.

It's been very reliable for me, and a pleasure to drive even though it's only got 60 hp. I'm pretty sure this thing could take out most stock EF's. The powerband is great!

For all your 2nd gen civic needs, check out http://www.civic1200.com. Good luck with getting the car! they are a blast.
