Default Recommend my friend a header!

A buddy of mine is fixing to do the teardown of his GSR motor to install the 11.1:1 compression pistons, Skunk 2 Stage 2's and getting the head ported and polished. His current mods:

AEM V2 Cold Air Intake
Apex'i N1 Catback Exhaust
Exedy Clutch and Fidanza 7.5 lb. flywheel
crappy Megan header.

He wants to upgrade to a better header since the Megan racing was just makeshift, and I don't know which would be best for his setup. Can anyone recommend a header for less than $600 bucks? A few options would help so he would have something to choose from.

Thanks!

Vibrant 4-2-1 header is great for the setup,

contact james at GSCmotorsports for great pricing

In that general price range, I'd recommend the SMSP 1-piece header. I'd also suggest spending the extra money to have it coated.

the sparks header is supposedly making a big splash right now...not a bad price at all either

me and a friend just installed a sparks header on his em1 and it had some fitment issues with the bolts going on correctly. we had to make all four of the top ones a bit bigger since they didn't line up correctly. and we had to moditfy his omni test pipe for it to connect to the b-pipe correctly. other than that it felt good on the top end and it seems we can get a bit more from tuning, which is happening next friday
