Default Re: Eclipse Titanium (lude98SH)

I fairly familiar with the Eclipse Titanium... Right now I am on my 5th one. First was stolen, second was blown (due to lack of good power from alt/battery). Third was just a loaner, 4th surround was torn (due to sitting in the garage all winter and getting cracked), and on my 5th currently. This sub is freaking amazing. I have 1 in my gsr powered by a Xtant 1001 pushing 1000 RMS in a slot ported box. It's also being powered by an Ohio Gen alt ans Optima yellow top battery. Nobody ever believes me when I tell them its just 1 12. Before the alt/bettery/sound dampening, I had it hit 143.5 dB. It's the clearest sounding sub I've ever heard as well. I really like the way a metal cone sounds vs a paper or plastic because no matter what, it's not going to bend or warp when it hits and sound odd. I've heard W7s in a few shops and sound pretty decent, but I promise if you test out an Eclipse titanium you won't be disappointed.

One thing you do have to make sure is that you have a strong amp pushing it. My 1st was powered by a Kicker DX700 (700w RMS) and it still sounded good, however I've put the sub and box in friends car with their amp and it was severely underpowered not sounding nearly to potential.

I would definately go with the Ti
