Added a spoiler with a 3rd brake light...
...so I tried unplugging the interior 3rd brake light and also tried just removing the bulbs. Both methods leave me with a "Brake" warning light on in the dash. How do I get rid of that light.... besides cutting the wire. I need to make the CPU think the light is still there. Anyone resolved this before? Thanks in advance for your time.
Run the wires to your new brake light directly from the ones that were in your stock lamp.
What generation?
EDIT: nevermind, helps if I read your sig.....lol

lol - yeah I thought about trying that. Right now it is tied in with my taillights wiring. I thought it might be as simple as puting a resistor across the terminals on the plug to the 3rd brake light... but what size resistor is the question. Nothing is ever easy is it... lol. Thanks.
No, there is no plug from the spoiler... just wire to splice. I would have to add wire to it to reach the 3rd brake light. I'm guessing I am going to have to meter the bulbs to find the resistance they create. Then get a resistor to match and it should make the CPU think there are bulbs.

I know this is old. But I'm in the process of wiring this up too. I'm assuming the 92-93 trunk lids are slightly different from 94-96 on the ones with the spoiler because my 92 trunk lid did not have the holes for the spoiler LED wires. I popped out the white plastic and ran them in that hole.
However my question is.. did you figure out the resistance? if not, would it be safe to run wires all the way to the 3rd brake light wiring on the rear windshield? I don't want to blow the LED's by supplying them with too much power. Let me know.
