Default ATTS Shut Off At High Horse Power???

Hi, I just read that the ATTS unit in Prelude SHs shut off at higher horse power. I was told that, that number is roughly between 220hp-250hp. Now is this 220-250hp at the wheels? Or 220-250 at the fly? Because if it's at the fly... I don't think theres really much to do with my car while maintaining ATTS use. Thanks for reading. Peace.

there's some truth to that. ATTS can't handle that much power, but ATTS only comes on when you are really on the throttle (i don't know what % throttle exactly) and you are turning really hard. so, you can have that much power, you just can't be pushing your car so hard that the ATTS comes on. at least thats what my friend with a JRSC on his SH told me.

WRONGWRONGWRONG

The ATTS system is ALWAYS active. It monitors the torque delivery of both front tires 100% of the time. If your engine delivers greater than ~220HP the ATTS system will malfunction because it can not handle that much power.

That's not true, either.

I don't know anything about cars. Sorry. However... that giant sticky at the top of the page comes in handy quite often from what I've heard.

P.S. Not sharing information is better than sharing misinformation. Word to your mother.

The thing that has always irked me is that people have complained about the ATTS light coming on and the ATTS being disabled in very high whp setups, but no one I have ever seen has actually reported what ATTS trouble code they were getting. That sure would be helpful in narrowing down exactly what the root issue is.

I know one guy that had a 250+ whp JRSC setup on an SH and was not having ATTS problems.
