Passinger side half shaft won't stay in
My son just recently bought a nice 91 accord but after a few days, he found himself stuck unable to place the car in gear (manual) even with the engine running. He learned that the half shaft had popped out of the transmission. He took it to a shop (a friend connection), not honda techs, they reinstalled and it and during a test drive, they said it came out again and now they say there is something wrong with the transmission that causes the part to come out!
I suspect a wrong part or worn clip. Any one else ever have this problem? I say, match up the part with another new part from a reputable parts shop and compare the two. Is it possible the trani has been swapped out with another type thus, the orig. half half doesn't match up? Thanks

i wonder if they originally installed the wrong shaft for an auto tranny .the clip that hold the shaft in the differential could be worn or is too small.
