Default AC bracket for AC in EF with GSR

First off, I tried searching, but the lack of the search engine allowing two letter words made it worthless.

I've got a EF with a B18c and am thinking of putting the AC back in. The original compressor is a Sanden. (the EF's came with two different compressors that have different attachment bolt locations) So, there are a couple questions.

What factory bracket can I use? I believe that it's the one out of the CRV. Will this fit the Sanden compressor? I need to know what year CRV's.

Will the Hasport bracket place the compressor closer or farther from the engine block? (clearance between the engine and radiator could be an issue) Does the Hasport bracket use the tensioner assembly off of a "D" motor assembly or some other engine combination.

Are there any web sites showing the installation using a factory bracket?

Thanks!

Wes

Wes -

I used the Hasport bracket in my EF with a B16. and it uses the pulley off the D engine.

I will tell you right now it's a VERY TIGHT fit. I had to get an aftermarket header and use a slim fan to make it all squeeze in there.

I'm probably going to get the innovative front crossmember to free up some room as it takes the EG radiator.

Let me know if you need some pics of the clearance (or lack of)

Are you using a full width radiator? Did the "idler pulley bracket" come with the hasport bracket?

Yep.. full width (and a dual core). I'm pretty sure I just swapped over the pully onto the hasport bracket. IE: hasport aluminum bracket + hasport pulley bracket + oem pulley.

Here are a couple pics for your viewing pleasure:

Although I think my compressor was the other one (not sanden, started with an M i think), I had originally bought the AC compressor hasport bracket. It isn't a tight fit if you don't have a full width rad. I never actually used my bracket -- took it off after i had installed it -- but it does fit (b18c)

Yes, the "idler pulley bracket" came with the Hasport setup. I just used the pulley and adjuster (screw) that came off my HF motor on my B18 setup. I have a full width PWR radiator (see Earl) and the AC fan does not fit, no room. I have an aftermarket puller fan on the radiator side and it works fine. It does not overheat but the radiator's increased capacity helps a lot. I do not plan to re-install the AC fan.
