Default question on tranny replacement...

i have a 1990 hatch with a 1992 ls swap with hasport mounts and i'm looking to put in a new tranny this week-end at work. The question is, will i have to drop the engine to do this or can i just drop the trans? i just need to know how much time i need to set aside. any help would be appreciated...

no, no need to drop motor. You will have to take off front crossmember to get in there
