I just got a 96 acura 2.5tl and the battery went dead--stupid me left the headlights on all day!! Well after I got the jump, I realized that my radio was out!!! It needs a code--but the serial # is nowhere in plain sight!!! I called ACURA with the VIN # to the car, and they won't help me. They charge 100 to take the ardio out and get the serial #!! Any way, I was hoping anybody had some suggestions on how to obtain the serial # or take the radio out myself and save some $$. After I get the serial #, I am hoping that either I can get the code from ACURA, or from ANYONE!!!, if you would be so kind....Thanks, I really appreciate any help you can give...

 

Search google for how to remove the stereo in your model year TL. People have homegrown directions to do that sort of thing, then take the radio and your registration card to an Acura dealer and they should help you out.
