I had a kit on my Eclipse. I am a ricer.

 

I came close.. I bought a set of clear corners for my hatchback.. Luckily I was t-boned before I made the mistake..

Otherwise, I was too broke to spend money on those products anyways, and I NEVER saw the point of installing a fiberglass bumper in place of the stock material.. Always seemed so insanely retarded to open yourself up to the headaches of bodywork, paint, cracks, etc. Just for a look that I always thought was kinda whack... who knows though, maybe I am unique...

Seeing a post like this makes me wonder what we are going to say about our current tuning styles in 5 years.

Sure the import scene has changed, or have us guys that did all the clear tail lights and body kits back then just grown up a little bit???
I know that street racing is still very much alive but now, I wouldn't be caught dead at them, but 5-6 years ago I couldn't wait for Saturday night to go street racing. Ain't growing up a bitch.

I am willing to bet in 5 years or so that we are going to say "jdm...... what was I thinking"

 

I had an auto-D16 4dr Civic for my first car. I put a body kit on it and I thought it was cool for like a month. Then one day I drove past a bank with some mirrored glass-windows and I saw myself in my car. And then I thought to myself..

"What a joke."

 

I remember the whole clear lenses deal...the furthest I went was putting clear corner and bumper lights on my car. Aside from that I couldn't afford anything else and didn't want a body kit.

Heh, i remember when i was into all that. Im 16, and almost have my car, but about a year and 1/2 ago i wanted clear tails, bodykit, the whole deal haha. Luckily i found HT in time, and ive been cleansed of my ways.

16" racing harts
stock sohc with JG 4040x cam, port and polish, dc max air, dc header, hks sport exhaust, act clutch and flywheel, bullfrog throttle body. i cant remember what else. i thought it was fast, it ran high 14s haha

When we both had our moldings and skirts colormatched (before the kits), everyone thought I was you, they'd always yell "REZA!" when I'd roll to the starting line at Kearny, lol!
