I finally figured out how to set that damn belt... ( http://www.cybertrails.com/~pu....html ) <-- great link!

but i'm a little worried about the belt tension.. Do these belts usually run quite loose? Anyone have a deflection spec?

I use michel on demand - the diagrams are COMPLETELY wrong and they dont say anything about belt tension..

any help would be great.

yeah I couldn't figure that out either so I cut the bastard off.

 

I just got it tight...It is suppose to self tension itself. But i always just push down on the tensioner to tighten it a little bit more then tighten the tensioner. I have never had a problem.

 

thanks guys.. i gave it a little help and tightened it down. i'm a little paranoid because i cant get to the timing belt without pulling the motor out.
