Well im socal i would of helped you but what you can do is go to a mom and pop store that install alarms and ask if the installers are MECP certifed. If they say yes ask which rank. The ranks are:
Bronze Level
·Basic Installer
Silver Level
·Advanced Installer
·Security Specialist
Gold Level
·Master Installer
·Mobile Product Specialist
Just dont tell them any options. Just ask which rank. If they come up with some dumb thing like the 1st one. Then ask to talk to the installer and ask him. If they say hes not in then tell them to make anpoiment to meet him. Then ask him the same questions. If you cant find any then ask for some work the have done like there own car. If you like it then just get it done by them.
The head unit you can do yourself. Just look for a harness to attachs to the stock radio har. and then all you have to do is soilder the wires that come out of the harn. to the head unit. Its a 45 min job at the most. I can do it in less then 15 mins if I use butt connecters. But I recommend soildering. So that might take longer because the gun has to heat up and then heat shrinking the wires afterwards. But its worth the time and effort. I charge 40 dollars for the install. So you save 40 dollars.
Btw: If you find someone that said he has a gold leverl certification ask him to copy it because there is only around 100 people with the gold certification. Im at sliver level and I got there by a miracle. I tired the gold level and failed with flying colors.
Hopes this helps!!!
