Really nice work, did you fabricate it all yourself(burns collector not included). Deserves a whole page full of thumbs ups . Is it your own car or a customers and whats it to be used for, drag? You should be really proud of your workmanship. You should put it into a Mark 1 or 2 Escort or a Capri, it'd be scary. Have you got any pics of the rest of the set up?

Cheers MRD

Thanks for the kind words guys,it is my car,but I did not do the fab work,James Pettigrew did all of the work...the best around the Charlotte N.C. area!I have seen some of the best fab work ever here on honda-tech and I wanted to show it off...I also stole the basic design of the intake from Full Races new intake..and I already had the header built.

It should put down about 500 to the wheels on pump gas, about 700 with c-16 and then we are going to spray it down with n20.It just a street race car..I have no need for a "drag only" type car.

Tuff_ET..I want a cosworth escort in the worst way...hard to find a good one that not beat to hell and at a decent price.

Yeah you should put that engine aside and find an Escort to put it in. Twin cams, Lotus or cosworth are thin on the ground over here to. A few guys have them for classic rallying but you dont ever see them on the street or at race meets. Probably worried they'd get followed home and it'd get stolen later. They do sound tuff as with webers hanging off them, old skool!! We had a friend over here put an RS500 Sierra group A touring car Cosworth engine into a Mark 1 Capri for circuit racing. He was an engine builder for Peter Jackson Racing here in Australia and it was one of there left over engines, bout 600-650 flywheel hp back in the late eighties early nineties. Back in those days without good programable engine management , old turbo technology and on pump gas that was huge power and they were hand grenades waiting to go off. Nowadays its not as impressive but his Capri was an animal at the time. He's to old to race it anymore so it sits in the shed gathering dust.

Good stuff, keep us posted with how your project goes and keep the pics coming.
