b16 engine light when cold
here's what i've got:
5 civic dx w/ b16 motor built with all new internals
10.8:1 compression
topspeed JDM 4-1 header with 2.5" collector
powercore 2.5" highflow cat
DC sport 2.5" exhaust
AEBS intake manifold
injen cold air intake
kingmotorsports throttlebody 66mm-64mm
STR fuel rail
B&M fuel pressure adj w/pressure guage
JDM integra type-r valve cover
JDM p30 ecu (9000 rpm redline)
SRP pistons
mugen headgasket
eagle rods
ARP headstuds
lightweight crank pulley
ACT streetlite flywheel
proclutch 6 puck sprung clutch
94 integra ls transmission
sometimes, usually on a cooler morning, my engine light will come on after driving for about 10 mins. once the engine is nice and hot, if i restart the car, the light will usually stay off. i have never seen it come on later in the day when the temps are 75F+.
there's an easy way to figure out whats tripping the light without an exspensive OBD scanner, right?
also on a side note, my tach goes haywire (jumps a lot/pegs) when i get into vtec. any ideas on that one?
thanks,

trying to follow up on my posts in case others could use the knowledge.
the engine light (CEL) problem stemmed from a bad O2 sensor.
the tach going nuts occasionally was due to a leaky spark plug wire. put some magnacore cables in and the tach is smooth all the way 9 grand again!
ps. my wife and i just bought a house, and im forced to sell my beloved civic
please help me out and buy it from me. its so fun and i hate to part with her.
