98' Accord tire size? 205/60-15?
I am about to buy 205/60-15 sized tires for the Accord but the standard size is 195/65-15. I have stock steelies.
As far as I know, 205/60-15 is better cause its wider? so...
205/60-15 or 195/65-15?

i believe the size of 205/60R15 was standard on the V6 models, and the 195 was standard on the 4cyl. The idea behind thins is that the V6 has a little bit more weight, and therefore the wider tires. As long as the tires are close in diameter I wouldn't hesitate to put the slightly wider tires on a 4cyl... but I wouldn't recommend the narrower 195's on a V6.
Tire sizes are broken down like this.... 205 is the width.... 205mm, 15 is the rim size.... and the 60 is the aspect ratio. It means the ratio of the section width to the tread width.... Simply put, it's the height of the sidewall compared to the width of the tread. For example.... a 205/60 tire, compare it to a 205/75 tire, the 205/60 will have a lower profile sidewall and be overall smaller around - smaller diameter. So Honda wanted to make the tires on the V6 wider, but not smaller... There by going with the 60 as opposed to the 65. The tires are close to identical with the exception of the 205's being a tiny bit wider...
goto http://www.discounttiredirect.com they should have the correct size, you can plus one or two. I think that makes the tires wider, but thinner.

Damn, I'm too late to explain that...lmao. I'm thinking of running 205/60R15s on my wife's '99 4cyl. I'm going with 205/50R16s or 205/55R15 on my wagon.
