Time has come.... gas prices are just way out of hand. I have 3 weeks of training left for my new job then I am moving into my new house in Atlanta....
I have a 30 mile commute to work (29 is interstate). I'm looking at new Hondas. Preferably a cruiser VLX (600). It's in my price range and since I am new to riding I don't want something too big for now. Where can I find MPG for Honda motorcycles? I've looked on Honda's web site and searched google. I'm seeing 30's on up to 50mpg.
I may even consider Suzuki and even sport bikes IF the gas mileage is substantially better.....
I've sat on both the VLX and Rebel. The Rebel seems to small/light considering I'll be doing 70mph on it 95% of the time.

Don't buy purely on gas mileage alone as there are SO many other factors that should play a much larger role in your bike selection. I think it's safe to say that most mid-size engine bikes get in the 40-50-60 range.
I get ~50 mpg on my Suzuki SV650S.
