AEBS Intake Manifold for B16 TB
Hi all...thinking of ordering one of those above. My prob here is that I'm not US or Canadian local, all the way from South East Asia, Malaysia to be correct. Most prolly if I do get this stuff, I'm going to fit it myself with the help of my old man's mechanic. Any installation issues that I should take care of? Any resetting work that needs to be done, or should I get myself Apexi's AFC to improve the performance after fitting this stuff? Pls do explain the details since I'm a noobie in doing my car on my own

i have checked thru some postings, got some conflicting posts..some says it goes straight on, some says need adjusting ( ? ), threads go bust ( a hassle for me ), certain areas got to be filed down for clearance ( acceptable ), new fuel rail ( ? ) etc. I'm kinda confused in this matter, and none was said about retuning the A/F ratio, I don't need to reset the A/F ratio when I have AEBS IM eh?
when i did mine it went on just fine without any probs. maybe a longer vacuum hose here and there and a few vacuum plugs, but that's it... don't worry about it... get a new intake manifold gasket and throttle body gasket also (wouldn't want any leaks now...
) and i didn't adjust anything before or after the install if that helps any...

thanks for the encouraging words SiDonny...I'm not too good in stuffs like vacuum plugs etc, maybe I'll have to leave my mech. to do the install..yeah, a new intake manifold gasket and throttle body gasket is a certain yes too..should I go for new injector rings as well? i did read about requiring a new injector rail...do i really have to, BTW i'm driving an EG6, so I suppose the engine is about 4 - 5 years or so in age..
i'm still using my stock fuel rail... i would suggest changing the injector rings since your motor is old... as for the vacuum plugs... they're just little caps that would go over the extra vacuum openings that you won't be using... i only used 2
also if getting a new throttle body i wouldn't get anything bigger than 65mm since the opening to the manifold is 65mm... over 65mm is a bit overkill for the b16 in my opinion and many others would agree with this statement.
