Default having doubts about Hondata

I currently own a 1997 Type-SH that runs and looks great. I don't drive it evry single day, but I do drive it enough to call it a daily driver.

The thing I love about my car is that it is clean, and everything is in working order and works perfectly. It is not hacked and spliced like a lot of Hondas that you see on the road. This is why I decided to stay all-motor and not buy a turbocharger kit ( I wanted to keep my ATTS system in working order ).

My plans were to buy some basic air-flow upgrades and get the car tuned with a Honadata S200 with the P28 OBD-I ECU conversion. However, after looking on Hondata's website, I noticed that using this setup may force me to have to convert to an OBD I distributor, and could possibly make me lose my ATTS. Is this true?

I was looking forward to seeing what my tuner could do with the Hondata on my car, but I do not want to sacrifice my daily driveability, nor do I wish to hack at a car that is in perfect condition. What do you guys think? Should I get a V-AFC II instead, or am I worried about something that isn't worth worrying about? What about the AEM EMS, can you gain as much with that as you can with the Hondata ( I know that it mostly depends on the tuner ). Thanks a lot.

AFAIK, neither AEM nor Hondata can control ATTS.

I've been running Hondata on my SH for 2 years and don't miss ATTS at all. You're gonna lose it anyway when you hit that magic tq number so, why not?

You don't need to change distributors.

to keep atts your choices are the VAFC and the Greddy Emanage.

the greddy's a little more full featured than the VAFC with datalogging and ignition control and can be had with a PnP harness adaptor.
