You'll probably get a better response in the audio/security forum.

I would remove the alarm.

Try finding your remote and you should be able to disable the lock mode it put on the car.

So I understand, your key will not turn in the ign. switch, and the steering wheel is locked. [normal] try moving the steering wheel as you try the key.

Also, even if you step on the clutch, you can't roll the car? Is the "E" brake on?
Can you shift into neutral?

I would put it in neutral, make sure "E" brake is off, if it still will not roll, jack the wheels off the ground, [one at a time] and see if they spin, unless the brakes are seized, if the "E" brake is off and the car is in neutral, the wheels should spin, there is nothing in the alarm that can "lock" up the wheels 94

It turns over but will not start or will not even turn over?
Does the alarm still work properly, can you arm and disarm it with remote, will it trigger if you open a door when its armed?

Have you tried jacking up the car and seeing if the wheels will turn, [front and back]?

When you try and start it, can you hear anything, can you hear the fuel pump prime, any clicking when you try and start it? 94

Just pull out the alarm and try restarting. The unit probably has the starter kill activated. Also, check to see if the 2 inline fuses to the alarm are blown. These should be close to the battery.

That can also prevent the car from starting.

Just jack up one wheel at a time with your tire jack

Are there any sounds when you try and turn it over to start?

Does the alarm work? 94

turn the ignition on acc, step on the clutch, put in 1st or 2nd gear, have a couple of guys push you fast (5-10 mph or so), let go of clutch completely. if it starts hurry up and press on clutch and put back on neutral.

So just to be clear, does the car crank but not start/fire or does it not crank? There is no way that the alarm could prevent the shifting or rolling.
Did anything else happen to the vehicle recently?

If there is "clicking" at the starter, but motor will not turn over, have someone hold the key to start, then give the starter motor a good sharp "tap" or two with a heavy metal object, [hammer or the like]

If there is no "clicking" at the starter motor when you try and start it, unplug the thin wire on the starter motor solenoid, make sure the thick cable is snug, use a pc of wire and jump from the batt. pos. (+) term. to the solenoid term., [where you unplugged the thin wire, make sure car is out of gear] if nothing happens then the starter motor or solenoid is bad. 94

okay, I jacked up the car this morning.I jacked up the front first, and both front wheels spinned normally. I sprayed some brake spray...then I jacked up the rear released the ebrake, but the back two wheels wont spin!!!! So I isolated the problem to the rear wheels...How do I check the ebrake cable and stuff...?? Is the ebrake the only thing that locks the back
??

and with the starting...Im gonna change the starter...so ya...

If it's disc brakes in the back, remove the wheels and check for movement on the spring loaded ""E brake lever on the brake caliper, "E" brake adjustment is made under the console behind "E" brake using the nut on the equalizer assembly.

If they are drum brakes the "E" brake adjustment is in the same place, but you would have to remove drum to see lever. 94

update guys.......Good News-This morning I was able to move my car, so I kick started the car!!!the car turned on, and apparently I was empty on gas!! Last night I sprayed the Brakes with the spray cleaner thing, and I guess it loosened the brakes!!

But i believe I still have to change my starter, because when I go to start up the car, i have to hold the key to on for about ten seconds(huming sound) then it starts...

Are all b-series starters interchangeable?? What kind of starter should I be buying, I got a B16A1 in a 96 Civic Hatch....

Thxs for all your help....Shoots

when my starter was going out i tapped it with a metal stick a few times before i tried to start the car. worked like a charm until one day i got stuck at home and had to get a replacement asap. that tapping method really works for a couple of weeks or maybe even 2 months.
