Default 90-91 Civic cut out on Freeway any ideas?

Alright well I have yet to take a look at it or try to start it myself or anything.

I was told by my buddy he was driving and the car just cut out on the freeway. He says it cranks and acts like it wants to start up but doesn't (I am guessing).

I know spark, fuel, and timing . I will check it when I get it tomorrow for FREE!!!! haha. Now I just hope its a easy fix so I can make a quick G .

Any ideas what could have went wrong? I will try to post more info when I actually am working on it. But I like to get a early start on things.

Would a fuel pump just go out like that?
Usually when a dizzy goes out it will send a signal to the ecu correct?
Will a main relay just go like that?

I am guess yes to all of them except the dizzy. Any ideas? Pretty sure its not the grounds or rings or valves. nothign internal.

Also, do Hondas Timing belts tend to jump a tooth?

nah if timing belt broke the dizzy wouldn't be able to make the car sputter. Plus the upper timing belt cover is off and the belt is still nice and tight.

Thanks a bunch. My buddy forgot to leave the keys with the car.. haha.. so I used my key and I was able to open the door (kinda scarry thought).

Well since I couldn't test circuitary I decided to test parts that I was able to inspect visually.

Main relay was good (took it apart)
Check fuses all good
Made sure dizzy plug wires were in the right place. (Noting the dizzy was like brand new!!!)

Then decided to take off the dizzy cap and grabbed the rotor and sure enough it spun around. haha kinda surprised me. then I saw the screw.

thanks a bunch

Free running car can't beat that.
