Default 03 Accprd cpe. wheel options

I want to put 20's on my 03 accord cpe. I saw the pictures of the TL with 20"s and it was ugly. I notice the TL has smaller wheel-wels and he did'nt lower it. The 03 accord has a nice size wheel-wel. I thought about getting 19's, but I am a wheel freak and I want as much chrome as I can put on their without having my car look like a 4x4. I was told that if I got a rim and tire combo in 20 that equals up to my factory wheels, it would work. Plus I was going to lower the car with a Eibach pro kit. For the big wheel lovers, do you think this will work? The sizes are 20X7.5 with a 225/35/20!!! I saw a 2004 accord 2dr. with what I think where 20"s, but I coudn't tell because I was across the street and couldn't read the size. But it looked dam-good!!!!!

That profile is so low I wouldnt drive anywhere on it. Granted it could be done, but it would be nowhere near recommended. I'd stick with 19s and give you a little more rubber in your rubber band of a tire.

Well I rode a 225/35/18 on a z26 Beretta back in 1998 and I didn't have any problems. The ride was good until I hit a bump or something, but I never busted or had a bubble in any of my tires. It was hell sometimes because it was certain streets I couldn't take. But I was living in Detroit at the time, and they have the worse roads in the US. I now live in the ATL where their are no bumps. I just might do the 20's. ( Yeah, I'm brave) The tire that comes the closest to the original spec is a 245/30/20, but I didn't want the tire to rub when I lower the car. But I do like the wide (all up under) look like the Benz and the Lexus, but they are rear wheel drive though. Well thanks any way bro!!!!!

i don't know if it's the wheel wells of the 7th gen accords or just how they're designed, but they make wheels look smaller than they actually are. what i mean is that when i tried on 18's on mine, they didn't look like 18's at all, they looked much smaller.

Well that sums it up for me, The accord that I saw from a distance must of had 20,s because the rim that guy had looked huge. But it looked good though, he didn't have the 4x4 look going. The car sat down good on the rims. That's what I was worried about. I did not want the wheels to look too big for the car. I figured if I would have gone with the 19's, I would've been mad after finding out that I could have went bigger. The only advantage to getting the 19's is that I could have gone with a 19x8 with a wider tire like 235/35 or a 245/35. But in size 20, most of them are 20x8.5. But I did find some that was 20x7.5 but I really wanted 20x8. I just thought 20x8.5 was pushing it. I did not want them to stick out so I'm going with the 7.5. So thanks bro, that's what I needed to hear.

I saw a 04 accord with the 18's on it, and like you said they look alot smaller then 18's. I also saw a 02 civic on 19's with a 215/35 and it looked awesome Well my mind is made up.
