Default Gsr in EK..(over-heating)

the temp needle rises when the car is at a stop. Using a chipped P28 wiht obd 2-1 harness if that matters. The fan is hooked up and doesnt turn on... What could it be??

thermostat.

run your car for like 2 minutes...then check your radiator hoses (top and bottom one). top should be hot...bottom should be cool and you have a thermostat problem.

well it was a fresh rebuild. Ugh we started it up and just started putting coolant in , then water, once it warmed up the coolant that was sitting at the top of where the rad cap goes sucked down, so we added more.

- Fan is connected, and the fan swtich by the thermo is hooked up.

turn the heater on high take the radiator cap off and start the motor I bet you have a big air bubble in there. heater core will drain off a bit when you disconnect the lines. if the heater isnt turned on when youre refilling it it never fills back up.
