Bent connecting rods
Help me out guys, i just found out i need all new connecting rods, crank, all new bearings, and gaskets on my 1997 gsr. My question is that since iw wouldn't be fixing the problem myself, would it be worth it just to buy a used engine? the cost of fixing the problem right now is 3500 Canadian. With all new oem parts. I am debating on to just write the check get them to fix it. or buy a used long block of hmo and installing it myself. Another option was to buy a used short block that i had been told usto burn oil
. The only thing that worries me about buying a engine online is the duties i would get hit with, and having a junkyard engine that may cause me problems. advice would be appreciated. And if ne1 from canada has ever purchased a engine from states how much trouble and money was it to get across border.
If you would like to know the damage was caused from overreving due to a miss-shift

There are Japanese importers in Canada.I've bought axles from Street Imports in Ontario and had no problems.I have seen other importers advertising from the Toronto area.Your best bet probably is to get a swap and sell of your old stuff online.
