Hi guys,
Today I went to sears auto center, was planning to change my tires. I saw in their drop down list there are couple types of D Engine.
Do you guys know what are those?
I am planning to increase some HP for my car.
I already have AEM air intake installed. What would be the next step that I might go with low budget and easy install?

First what car? Year 92-95, Type HB, Coupe, 4 door. What do youu have now?

 

I have 97 Civic Dx Coupe
And I'm pretty sure it is inline engine not a V-Tech.

I have the same advice all the time....


TURBO. I am all about budgeting and maximizing my money. You get teh best power to dollar ratio with turbo most of the time

Okay... Turbo wil wait until the engine hits around 90k or 100k

 

It depends what you want to do!! I also have a 97 coupe dx. I have a 96 Vtec intake manifold, Aem Cold air intake, dc header, and greddy exhaust and have been 15.8 1/4. Thease cars are light and motors are strong so turbo wood be capable also!!!

i say blah to turbo. its not reliable, especially for a daily driver. i just wonder on how many people on here lasted over 20k miles with their turbo setup?
if you were to do forced induction, go super charger. they are way more reliable .
my self though, is going ITB's. more bang for the buck.

you need to read. I think there are a few peopel on HT alone who have 10's and 20 thousand miles on stock motors with turbo. If you do **** right the first time and take care of a turbo motor, it will run as well as it being stock. Please explain how superchargers are more reliable than turbos as well. Forced induction is forced induction
