This is a little long bare with me

My friend just got finished with my swap in my 92 hatch, he got everything hooked up and it started drove it around no CEL's so i drove it home, My brother than took the car to the shop he works at to finish the exhaust, well after work he went to start it and it just kept turning over, and the fuel pump wasnt turning on, he heard a buzzing and realized it was the main relay, so i get 2 from a junk yard and they both dont work, so today he hooks the old one up car fires up, finish the exhaust, let it down and it wont run, throw one of the other relays on and it fires up I run it for an hour and it seems fine no CEL, take it down the road and the thing dies, fuel pump isnt coming on again, I dont think it is burning relays up, Any ideas?, grounds, loose wire somewhere? anyone else had this problem?
