i have a 00 civic si. i am haveing problems shifting when its rainy out. it feels like the shifter is getting stuck in gear and in neutral. sometimes i cant get it in gear and when im in gear i cant get it out. about 3-4k miles ago i put in an exedy stage 1 clutch kit. i have energy suspension motor mount inserts and es shifter bushings. i just checked my mtf and it looks good. i am still going to put in the synchromesh stuff that i have been reading about. i cant figure this out and help would be great.

Did you do the clutch yourself or did you have a shop do it?

 

my friend abd i did the clutch. we have done clutches in hondas b4 this one one so im sure that we didi it right. one thing i forgot to mention is that i have a b&m short shifter and when i get stuck in gear the shifter vibrates and rattles very very hard and loud

 

How many miles are on the tranny? I assume not to many since its only a '00.

If it was only being a pita going into gear I would have said synchros, but since its not coming out of gear I have no idea. I would reccomend reinstalling the clutch and see if that fixes it, if not I'd pull the transmission and have it looked at.

Maybe check your shift-linkage and make sure all the bolts/pins are in and are tight.

How long ago was the short shifter installed?

 

Either clutch related or linkage related.
