Default People doing H22 swaps - base plate choices (please read)

I'm not here to tell you guys what fits because I'm sure if you are doing this swap you already know. However, I wanted to tell you which base plate is the better choice. I get a lot of you guys PM and emailing me asking if my 4gen Prelude and 5gen Accord true short shifters will fit, and I always have to explain this so I figured I'd just post it so its public knowledge.

The following shifter/base plates will work:

90-93 Accord (4gen)
94-97 Accord (5gen)
92-96 Prelude (4gen)

However, all the base plates ARE different.

In order of quality of shift and the ability to use a true short shifter like mine, they go in the opposite order:

92-96 Prelude (best)
94-97 Accord (good)
90-93 Accord (will work but not prefered)

So basically, if you are doing this swap, try and find a 4gen Prelude stock assembly. Not just because it will work better with one of my short shifters, but because in stock form it provides the best shift.

BEWARE: Some people are aware of this and will list their Accord shifter/base plates as Prelude ones to get more money out of them. If you have pictures and want me to tell you what it really is, just email me the pictures at jeremy@forbiddenmotorsports.com

Thanks guys!
