Default Installing FW and FD - any good shop in Toronto?

Hi all,

As the title suggests, any good recommandation? Anyone have any experience (good or bad) with any shop installing their FW and FD on ITR?

Someone referred me to N1 Auto and Speedstar, anyone have anything to say about their work?

I searched the board and it seems like there is a mix feeling towards speedstar and very little comments with N1 Auto.

Feel free to IM me if you don't feel comfortable posting it publicly, thanks in advance!

I can't help you out with shops. But with respect to the FD, its a very precise job so where you take it make sure you feel they are knowledgable and trust worthy.

Gilman in Scarborough is a definite possibility... installed a KAAZ LSD in a friend's Accord. One slight hickup... speedo gear separated from the diff, had to go back in and fix it. No extra charge. Drives fine now.

I do most of my work myself but if something exceeded my capabilities I would probably take my car there.

If D is offering to work on your car then take him up on it.

Besides a hotel room each and what ever he charges I'm sure will be cheaper then a local place doing it twice

I feel stupid for asking... but what does FD and FW stand for?

I know of lots of ppl that go to N1 Auto.. a couple of my close friends go there and have never heard of any complaints..

Speaking of FD's... I want to get a set of the JDMs.

Ideal R, how much did you get the part for?

Thanks for all the response! No one have any experience with Speedstar? How about Defcon Racing?

kwanjai, I actually got my JDM FD 2+ years ago (ya, I know I know...). I think I paid something like 600-700 CAD at that time. I think the price of these things have gone down a lot and you can probably get one a bit over 500 CAD.

if you like quality work done , PM me. Friend of mine who works @ acura does nothing but almost all trannies. He can do it for you, for very good pricing along with workmanship. He has done about 5 of my trannies and about 10 other FD swaps from K-series to old school L3/s20 hybrid trannies.

for best pricing on FDs, contact http://www.aj-racing.com (talk to ben)

Gilman did my FD install. Ray knows his stuff and charges a reasonable price.
