Default Frame slider question, need help

So I've figured out that noone in this ******* world makes frame sliders for my bike. I've looked everywhere and noone makes them for my year. SOOOOOOO I figured I could maybe get some for another Kawasaki. Would that work and how would I know how long they need to be?? I've seen some that are 6mm and some that are 8mm. Any way I can figure this out??? Thanks guys.
