Default Eibach Sportlines + Stock shocks = Good combo?

Trying to get some feedback and opinion on this. Dont necessarily have enough for shocks yet, but enough for springs. Will install springs asap, but afraid the stock shocks wont handle it. Any opinions?

okay let's do some math

Situation A

eibach spring $250
installation $60
alignment $60

then you saved enough cash for the damper/shocks

new shock(500-1000 depends)
installation again $60
discover that your shock blew up because of the high spring rate $150-250(which you could save or sell it used)
alignment again $60

not to mention the down time

Just wait until you have the shock, spring alone with stock shock ride like rad ****

get some AGX's....they are relitivley inexpensive (compared to koni's), and handle quiet well with sportlines....just fyi, sportlines will be a bit jerky, but the car will handle soo well over stock

I got my sportlines for my accord for 150 used and my civic for 170 new and I rode on stock shocks for a while...its not a bad thing but you should really replace your stock shocks with one designed for shorter springs.

Stock shocks will blow out fairly quick, 3-6 months...that should be enough time to save up for some kyb's or koni. The hardest part about suspension is taking off the stock suspension (spring compressor) off but after you put on your sportlines you shouldn't need a spring compressor to put the new shocks on.

Honestly it takes all of 1-2 hours for taking off stock suspension. But in the end the easiest way would be to do it all at once...its up to you.

if you dont have air tools, and the suspension has never been touched before, good luck getting the stock stuff off in that much time, let alone at all.

your best friend for this job is a good ratchet set, boxed wrenchs, and the biggest, thickest pipe you can find that will fit around your ratchet....not to mention a trust worthy friend
