Oh Yeah! A de-powered B16A, how unusual for the US market to get a de-powered JDM counterpart!

I like the Del Sol. Looks tight with a little well spent money.

 

I challenge you to post a picture of a cool looking Del Sol. I personally have never seen one.

the only modded del sol i've seen around here is a red one with a white riced out body kit..

I think I remember seeing rumors about a mid-engine CRX in an old magazine.
I'll see if I can find it.

 

I've seen that... the NSCR-X its the CRX with a NSX engine

that cars kind of gay.

 

the front end looks too slanted... everything else looks good.

 

front window is too big compared to the front of the car....don't really like it...and there is a sol in my town that is pretty tight...i'll get pics of it

Are Del Sol's fast? I've never been in one. Does the rear window roll down? Is the targa top cool? I have been thinking about upgrading to one, but I am not sure... I think they look kind of stupid stock.

The del Sol was a better idea than that picture out of Car and Driver (I have that issue, also, by the way) Anyway, the del Sol was a different looking car with insurance rates that allowed the B16 to be brought to the US. Never would have worked in a CRX more closely derived from the 2g. I have driven a modded del Sol vtec and I prefer an EF chassis to the slightly less direct EG chassis. Not to mention the cowl shake when the top is out. Either way, the "not a rex" comment goes for my CRX as well, b/c I think that nickname is the most pathetic fu**ing $hit I've ever heard. Leave it for the WRXs.

Can you imagine what could have become of such a clean design as that 1992 CRX. The aftermarket potential is staggering.

Actually when I had my Del Sol I wanted to have somebody make a Viper RT/10 kit for it. I wanted something a little different than what all the other DS's have. Make it look less of a chic car and something a little meaner. Anybody wanna photoshop one up and give it to me I always wanted to know how it would turn out. What you guys don't see to similarity? topless, flat back trunk ok the front end is a little stubby but I think it would look cool.

 

actually, i think that was one of the magazines turbo project alongside JG engine dynamics. they put a 2.3 lude motor in the back and when they were trying it out they had to steer it with a wrench and had some guy sitting in the back throttling the motor...hahaha that was waaaaaaaaaayyy back in the days.
