Default Which crossmember gives more clearance? L-con? Jim Fab?

As the title says, Im dropping a h22 into a 88-91 CRX, and am wondering which offers more clearance? I obviously like the price on the L-con more

A turbo is the reason im asking.

Thanks in advance

The jim fab will not work and I'm not sure if the l-con will clear it would be very close, the problem is that the radius rods need to have A wider stance to clear the block and crank pulley your only going to run into problems on the drivers side the passengers side is fine but you should just make A custom set.

Ok thansk for the reply, i'll modify the stock one for now then take some measurements before I either A) buy an aftermarket piece or B) fabricate some of my own.

Oh bugger!

So I have to get an aftermarket one and modify that or..... just build my own from scratch.

In the Sport Compat car september issue they used the full race crossmember which seemed to work ok on N/A H22 CRX swaps, but I would eventually like to go turbo.

Thanks for your replies

Full-Race makes the best cross member. I wouldnt trust any other companies traction bar design. I want mechanical engineers designing my products not shop monkeys.

my bar gives you a ton more room over stock. i havent made a specific crx kit in the past but i am now making them by special order. full-race makes a good kit too, which will also give you more room than the jim fab bar! as for being as good as full-race i dont think either one is better than the other, both have the same geometry may be different by less than half an inch or so but not enouph to change anything in the suspension cycle, and they both serve the same purpose so its just about preferance in who you want to use. although, full-race does advertises more options than i do, i just dont advertise what else i can add to it but if someone wants something special then i will do/build whatever thay want.
me, j/k
full-race

Hi Loui, Is it possible to post a picture of your Crossmember? This way I can roughly compare it to the full-race
