well i just picked up a b16 short block (because i drive a crx and i was told long blocks are to big for the crx engine bay) off of ebay... I got it for a sweet deal and it seemed like it would be perfectly fine. The seller had a feedback rating of 100% and i got his address and talked to him on the phone and everything. How ever, when the b16a shortblock arrived, it was missing from the header up aswell as a bunch more. now i have to go buy a top end, and i think it will cost more than if i had just bough a b16a shortblock from an online motor website. i am completely pissed, and hes repling to me sayign i got what i paid for. can i get him for mail fraud?

Cliffs: bought b16a shortblock for too good of a deal, when it got here it was missing the upper engine and more.

That's why I tell people, never order engines from ebay

 

when you buy a shortblock all you get is the actual block no head or nothing....when you buy a longblock it comes with the head ...distributor...and is the entire engine....a shortblock is only the block no head or nothing..(so i dont think you got scammed ...you just didnt understand what a shortblock actually is)

yea i never seen a 100% positive seller on ebay who sells engines....who is the seller? (from what you say he also sounds like a good seller....if you talked to him on the phone etc....)

 

There's ONE seller, enginesrus, located in CO, they must be the only ones with 100%.

Everytime I've aksed a question about an item, I get a response within a few hours.

Number of posts doesn't say anything about your knowledge of automobiles. However, 90blackcrx has proven himself in other posts and just because members like him and others may have skipped or missed minor details doesn't mean you should tear into him and his high post count. This isn't GDD.

I was wondering if anyone else caught the "longblock is too big to fit in a crx" thing... Who the hell told you that ****??? Sure they whern't talking about a big block? Like a chevy or ford POS motor??? if you dont know what you're doing than get someone else who does to do it for you...
