does it affect the way the crank pully goes on the tab? example.
will I still be a able to use the marks on the pully for 16 base timing on a z6 , useing a y8 crank?

 

Yes they are the same.

The cranks are the same. The keyway is still at zero degrees. Hell, the D17 crank that I use is still at zero. Don't worry. Size the bearings right, drop it in, and go.
